Maybe - but it shouldn’t be that way. I understand that it is cheaper to produce there but I genuinely have a great amount of contempt for that country’s leadership and business practices.

I should disclose that this in no way reflects any type of racism or discrimination

Love anything made in Italy and Germany in this hobby. They go above and beyond to produce high quality products.

I wasn’t saying it in a positive light, I just hate the “Chinese black box” label when all lights are made in china. People seem to think radian kessil etc are made in USA.

I ran 2 Orphek blue bars on my 120. The Quanta Meso blue is much brighter than the Orpheks I used. Never checked the par on the Orpheks though. I decided on the Quanta because of the reviews and its made here in the USA.
The mounting systems are almost identical and are interchangable.
Not just made in the USA, but in Wisconsin: you know, God's country.

OK, got my shameless plug for my home state out of the way.

quanta pro- loved the description of how they match very will with the t5 version of blue+ lightning which I adored when i was using them years ago.
I didn't read the whole thread but curious are you running only these bars? I just added 2 OG Pop bars to my t5 hybrid fixture.

Anyone know if their are plans for nano sized quanta bars? That's the one thing Reefbrites have an advantage in. You can get shorter lengths down to like 11.5 inches.

I thought I read somewhere Luca was working on a nano fixture, but I can’t confirm. I thought the regular quanta bars (not pro version) had smaller lengths?

It looks like the the smallest at this point is 24 inches, so it would be great to have half that for nano applications. I contacted him, and he said it's something he would like to offer, and may have something in the spring. If so, I'll be trying them out.

Year and a half review!!! Still love it. I can't find a coral it doesn't grow and color up. Just ordered another one in preparation of a tank upgrade. I can't believe how much this single bar has grown.

The sun power itself doesn’t need additional light unless you have a low bulb number (4) fixture and a wider tank, but otherwise it wouldn’t be wrong to add a supplemental light bar for some extra pop.

This has been done plenty of times and is more common to have the combo setup than not.

Luca has a good product out for now, and I fully recommend his lights at the moment. We’ll see if they stand up over time but so far I like them a lot.

would anyone think it’s a good idea to add one quanta bar to an ati sunpower (the helix bar)? Tank is 20” deep so not sure if i am over lighting it if i do that.
I am actually planning to do this now. The LEDS on my sunpower have stopped working and the cost to fix them arent really worth it to me.

I have the 4 fixture on my 65 Gallon tank, and am planning to get a Daycrest and Meso Blue.

One bar would be plenty. But I want the full spectrum for what will be an SPS dominant tank and the pope of the meso blue.

I just received meso blues for another tank, and the color pop looks so nice.

I thought the power module was the one that had LED’s in the center? Anyway, I bought a 36” sunpower going over a 48” long tank. So i was thinking a 48” meso blue directly mounted on tank feet while sunpower hangs a 6-8 inches up.

I can't recommend them enough. They have a fixed proven spectrum and have more power, spread and blending than a typical bar.

Engineered in Wisconsin, but definitely made/assembled/whatever in China. Not a knock at all, since most everything is made in China these days, just a point of clarification. ;)

I have a whole write on my thread about me receiving my Helix bars for my new 90. Corals have been under the light for about a month now and have been really looking good. This is 2 white x 1 blue combo. There is a photo from my Pixel with no filters added.
