I have notice that once in a great while ( like maybe once a month) my light will flicker with the android app. It isn't enough for me to worry about. Have you updated the firmware on the light?I was having problems connecting with the android app so im back to the ipad. Ugh, this was a whole scene ive been on with Kessil support a lot. The android was more polished but my light was flickering off/on sometimes apparently not getting a 100% connection. It seems to work better with the ipad app.

I'm debating on pulling the trigger for the AP700 myself. i have 4 360N right now over a red sea 450. i want to do a centralized AP700 with a single 360N on the ends
i fell in love with the geisemann aurora too though. especially with broad fields thread. but thats $2k+ and nowhere near the shimmer of the kessils. i had G3 pros that i got rid of for the kessils. smartest move i ever madePersonally I think the AP700 is the top LED fixture right now, better than the G4.
I loved the AP700 setup at MACNA. The tank looked way more natural than the Radion G4 one. Loved it so much I ordered one and will be copying the BRS setup with 4 T5's even though the tank is only 24x24x16.

No clue really. I am replacing a custom ATI Powermodule with the Kessil. That color looks really good! If you were not going to supplement with T5's and go all LED what would you do?

I have the AP700 about 10" above the tank on a 57 gallon and my lights max out at 28%. They are super powerful. I notice some bleaching so I have been lowering the intensity slowly.
They are! Take your time acclimating your corals. I started at 30% increasing 5 a week. More slowly after 60%. I don't dare go over 70% as I have tried twice and each time Some corals start losing color.
What kind of tank do you have? Mixed, sps, lps?
I have 2 Kessil AP700s over a 300 gallon tank. Yes, it will absolutely fry some corals. I can only grow Meteor Shower coral in the extreme corners. If the light catches it, it will bleach. The main reason is that PAR at the bottom of a 24" tank still reads in the 250s, but you're placing corals there that should only see 50 to 100 PAR. Radions can do this because they are super intense at the top, but lose a lot of punch quickly at depth. I currently run my lights at 85% intensity for a 4-hour period, with ramp up & ramp down. My zoas and euphyllias have no issue with the light; my acans look good too.
I have several types of SPS at the bottom of the tank, and they grow very well with great polyp extension. I will admit that I had a huge learning curve with the light, as I was cooking a lot of my corals, turning down the intensity, and then watching the SPS suffer.
I think I will eventually go to 4 Kessils, placed perpendicular, and make it an SPS-dominated tank that will also allow me to house some of the less reef-safe wrasses and angels.
At some point, I will create a thread of my tank...but I need to learn how to take better pictures first. For now, here are some low quality pictures. Note that all of these, with exception of the huge colony, started as standard 5/8" frag plugs.![]()

Also, my Mystic Sunset is bright pink...but my camera doesn't capture it. For reference, at the top of the same photo is a Blood Red Shrimp...and he looks black in the picture.
