So I just got the new version of the Aquaticlife booster pump. I installed per instructions but it only seems to be a bit faster or maybe the same. Yes I plugged in the power lol.

I think I have never pay attention before, is the DI cartridge supposed to be filled with water? Mine is not filled and it seems to be only a tiny bit of water running down on the side.

another thing I am questioning on the DI is that it’s been about 3g of water, it’s still showing around 5 TDS. (It was about 2 before installing the booster) maybe it’s new pipes that need to be run through a bit more?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on your house water pressure you may not see much of an increase.
When replacing your filters, Ideally you want to flush each canister in the order water flows for a min or two before installing the next one.
What is your TDS coming from the house and coming out of your membrane?
I really like the RO buddy except it does not flush the membrane long enough. I wish it was adjustable some how. I added a valve to flush mine manually. I typically flush it for a couple min.

All the cartridges are being used currently and before adding the new booster pump, it was tested 2tds.

i will contact BRS if I can return it but I already cut the tubings.

Now the tds reading is back to normal at 2tds. So maybe it was just new and the tubings came with some grease or dust.

Sorry, but I wouldn't accept 2 TDS as acceptable after DI resin. You've invested into RODI and a booster pump, get your moneys worth & efficiency out of your system and change resin more often.

Anytime my TDS output was anything over 1 TDS I changed dual bed resin and I was cooking through it every other month. I switched to 3 part resins (Cation, Anion & dual bed) and now I go through Anion only about every 4 months. Cation and dual bed have gone over a year. My tap water is 320, after membranes it's 4, after resin it's 0.

Ok guys, just replaced the DI is now zero. Can’t believe it only last about 3 months on the DI.

I make about 50g rodi weekly FYI. Seems too quick for me to replace it?

Glad to hear it. You'll like that booster too, it automatically flush your membrane everytime you use it.

It actually flushes the membrane from TDS creep & yes it usually goes down the drain with waste water in the first 5 mins or so.. It won't affect your product water and you'll have pristine water output. On normal systems we have to flush manually. that pump does it for you.

Better be something lol since it’s only about 10-15 mins faster than what I used to without it.

Have you timed how long your RO buddy flushes for. Mine is less than a minute, which is not long enough. I wish it was 5 minutes.

I have a dual TDS meter and I manually flush everytime I make RODI water but I watch the first input probe (directly after membranes) when it gets down around 5 then I shut the flush valve. That's usually 4-5 mins.
