so ive noticed the last few days im getting what looks like micro bubbles staying on the top of my water in my sump and also see some bubbles on the sand bed now. in the sump the other day i noticed the bubbles so i stirred the water to break up the bubbles when i did this i noticed it was slimmy and looked like snot. so my question is what is this? and what do i do. i started dosing mb7 like 2 weeks ago also running bio pelllets. thanks everyone.

do read that thread, it's hugely useful to get all the info- but the toned down basics:

you have 'too much' bacteria going on, try holding off a little on the MB7 dosing, cutting down on it a little, or just keep doing what you're doing and-

add 1 ml of Hydrogen Peroxide per 10 gallons of tank capacity daily, for up to 7 days. If you see elimination of the issues before the 7 days are up, go ahead and stop dosing the H202.

Hope that helps! But still go read the article, good to get the info from it

Thanks guys... so its safe to continue to run my biopellets and dose the mb7 while adding the h2o2

Yes- all the H202 will do is react with some of the bacteria and kill it off- it may slow down the 'seeding' of your biopellets, but won't cause any harm to them- of course this is all to the best of my current knowledge, so no guarantees, lol!

+1^ also wouldn't hurt to run a powerhead in your sump to turn the surface water
