I live here and here only. Social media sucks. Too many people that “know everything”, “your way is wrong, even if it has worked for 30 years”, etc.

Tons of awesome people, made real life friends here, no nonsense like social media (well some nonsense but I enable @fishguy242, so take part of the blame), and just good people chat with.

I was on social media, not a forum. People were really being mean to one another and it got me thinking about how blessed we are to have a place to talk reefs and be safe!

I looked at it as a Forum and Social Media are the same things. You go to both to buy, sell, and talk. Want to throw a little humor your way, that’s all.
This is the best Social Media/Forum for Saltwater hobbyist you can find out there!
Never try Facebook..... it’s gotten that bad.

In 2015 when I was getting back in the reefing game, I was looking for information on setting up my current system. I went to different sites, R2R seem to fit. The thing that stood out most was friendliness and Member willing to help without make one feel bad for asking the simplest of questions. I have made some pretty good friend here over the past couple of years, here on R2R that I have never met in person. We talk almost every day in threads or via PM.

When I was asked to become part of the staff, I was and am very honored to extend the help and friendliness that I received when I first became a member.

And you do a awesome job BFF ( best fish friend that we have not met in person ) and after my first tank crashed you were a big help, and when I decided to start over you were there with all of the encouragement I needed. Thank YOU!!! and of course thanks to R2R !!!

Plus the fact it’s a huge mixture of diversity. All colors,race, religion, genders, even different politics,,, but we all come together in a peaceful way under the umbrella of aquarium keeping. Rock on reefers

Do any of you ever try to talk reef on other platforms and social media?

I’m not saying this because I own Reef2Reef but man....it’s a jungle out there!! It’s truly rough! I just browsed a topic “somewhere” and people are rough!

It’s nice to have a place where we mostly get along and are civil 99% of the time!! Ha!

Your tank is looking sweet I put mine to bed hour n half ago but you can still make out some stuff,, the two leathers in front are about 5-7 inches across when fully extended with crap load of polops Tank is currently 72 n a half degrees
Also who said seahorses need lots of room
my tank is 36x24x18 and half the ponies sleep in same spot on top of each other
Can you count how many ponies are on this one ladder, you might have to blow it up to see em all
