Radion LED upgrade

I found someone on CL selling a g1 Radion that has been upgraded to g2. Can this be upgraded to G3 or does it require the unit to be sent in to Ecotech for the upgrade?

I believe the only upgrade you need to send the unit back to Ecotech was the gen 1 to gen 3.

Yeah, but I can't find any information about if a G1 is upgraded to G2 and then going to a G3 from there since it started as a G1.

Essentially its a G2. You should be able to buy the G2 to G3 update and DIY.
They only require that G1's be sent in to move up to G3 as they replace more than just the pucks.
Best call them just the same to confirm.

Just got off of the phone with them. For most Radion's that have the G1 > G2 upgrade you can do the G2 > G3 upgrade yourself without sending it in. You have to look at the fan and if it is silver inside then it would have to be sent back to Ecotech for the upgrade, but if it is all black then you can just order the G2 > G3 upgrade.
