Is anyone running Ecotech diffusers on their new G6 Pro's? I'm running mine at 50% and getting 500 Par 6" underwater. There are 4 of them over a 88" x 34" x 28" reef tank. I lowered them to 6 1/2" over the water because the light spread and shining in our eyes directly was unbearable at the 8"-9" recommended height. Thinking the diffusers will take away the punch at 6" underwater and maybe able to raise them up to 7"or 8" with the diffusers being about an inch or so thick. This will help shade your eyes a bit from staring at the led's themselves.

I run diffusers on G4 because tank is next to couch and without diffusers my eyes will go blind looking at the tank while sitting down on the couch.

I did the same with the G5’s thinking it would do the same. Unfortunately it didn’t make a huge difference. I ended up hanging a window shade from the side of the tank to the lights. Although I did sit 5 ft away from my tank.

Can I get a photo? I made a temporary canopy out of foam paper board crap to keep the glare away.

Sorry I forgot the name. I did not end up ordering any. I am sure a few people make them.

I ended up buying 4 shades for my Radion G'6 XR30"s for my peninsula tank and they make a big difference. You can get them right here on R2R in the 3d printed section. @chemisfun11 did mine and he has a thread on there right now. I also have the diffusers and i'm happy with them.

Installed the diffusers last night, really did take away the disco ball reflection on the ceilling, really took away a lot of shimmer, light spill has hardly changed at all. Par did drop a little and as a plus really smoothed the PAR out almost like T5 lighting. So all in all, +'s & -'s here on this addition, not sure if they will stay on.
The HUGE + + + is very easily snap on, and the second unadvertised feature, an awesome splash guard that is so easily cleanable of salt spray and a great protector of the fixture itself.
Verdict still out, will keep everyone updated.
