Isn't it a beauty!
Leak testing after sitting in the garage for 8 years.

I’m excited to see you getting back in. Will this be soft corals and LPS, or something different?

Randy - in case you don’t know the proper etiquette :), you need to describe your plans. Equipment, inhabitants, all the things!

This isn't a build thread, just a leak test thread. lol

Is anyone else concerned about the single random ice-skate or is it just me? I feel like I am in a Lifetime movie right now.

Randy’s lawnmower is even older than his “freshwater chemistry degree” :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

For anyone reading this that is not in the Bolus dosing thread, total inside joke

No, but the grass cutter makes me think we all slipped back in time to Randy’s childhood. This post might be a Twilight Zone episode.

FYI, it passed its leak test. :)
Me too! I'm now officially off probation.
But I do have to wear this ankle monitor to prevent me from entering the LFS!

Not really, but I do have a chemistry/ physics question about the difference between fresh water and saltwater forces on the seams in a fill test situation.

Is freshwater
A: Equal to saltwater?
B: Less than saltwater?
C: Greater than saltwater?
D: Easier to cleanup outside if the tank fails?
E: Some of the above?
F: None of the above?
G: Greater than Brackish and equal to Saltwater?

Now for the hint: I miss your quizzes. Glad to see you focusing in on the hobby at home again!.

I’ll take part of your quiz.

Answer is B.

Saltwater exerts greater hydrostatic pressure due to its higher density. Saltwater would exert about 2.5% more (think specific gravity 1.025)

Dude. Good job! Really cool you got back at it!

I have some details to work out still, but I’ll have a more extensive discussion of these details in the future. :)

That’s some good looking water, Randy. I’ve always been a fan of the milky swamp look in my tanks.

Jokes aside, looking forward to see what you come up with!

Believe it or not, people who are seriously into lawn maintenance swear by them.
When I lived at my parents my dad would swear by push mowers being better than his riding lawnmower. However he would always use the riding lawn mower because he didn’t want to use a push mower up hills
