I saw the fish and knew it was you. Had to scroll back up to check the user name.

I'm surprised I don't see them more. My LFS loves them and has a couple in his main display tank now.

I know one of these fish I’ve shown off previously - I decided to give it another shot. The other fish is… Nice but not nice in my tank. Both photos are from an LFS nearby.

I wish you luck with the Atavai, these guys can get outcompeted by fellow tank mates for food and generally don’t do overly well.
Fingers crossed and… Photos when he arrives or it never happened ;)
Yes we are! I have a female femininus wrasse and want a male. I just purchased this bad boy today.

Rare fish bump!
A Xenojulis margaritaceus made it into the softie display today, this was extremely common this time last year due to an import of them but they then just left the market and you don’t hear of people with them anymore.

I wouldn't call them rare per say, more like uncommon since I don't see a lot of people keeping them. My new (all female) Trio of Randall's Anthias (P. randalli) A deeper water species that needs about 75°F water and low lighting to display their best color and behavior. The males have some insane color change when they make that switch. The perfect choice for my NPS Tank. (They still have to fatten up since they were just imported but I've noticed some improvements since having them)

Plesiops corallicola. Similar to the marine betta, but much rarer (in my experience at least)

I had a spawning pair of those but never got around to trying to raise a batch. They are very reclusive fish. Interestingly, these guys lay their eggs on the roof of the male's cave, like some damselfish or blennies, and not in egg balls like Calloplesiops, Assessor, Pseudochromis, or Opistognathus species.

Took me ages to find one available so I'm going to say that's close enough to rare lol

I had so many of those, I had to sell them. Still have about 50 of them...

I'm curious what makes it a super male? My moyers I have always assumed was female(all leopards are born female), and looks exactly like yours.
Moyeri are much harder to tell males from females IME. That could very well be a male or a female. I believe males have a pinkier body timt

I just wanted to say;
‘Supermale’ isn’t actually a phase in the wrasse life, we generally call them ‘Terminal Males’ and generally a supermale is just a terminal male with nicer colours.
