One is about 5", the other is closer to 3.5". Very well behaved fish.

How long have you had both of them? I am really intrigued by the idea of keeping one in a specimen tank, but I'm struggling with the right tank size for that scenario

My LFS had this, I think he said it was a captive breed hybrid goldflake angel.

This is my yellow cubicus daisy she is the biggest sweetheart she will also never stop eating we train her to spit water when she wants pellets or flakes and for dinner it’s brine shrimp . The hardest thing for her was moving her to her newest 120g tank I was afraid she was gonna nuke she is 100% reef safe and will eat even flakes.

Since I’m going into the hobby as a total noob I am fearful of buying rare fish, even if they’re relatively hardy. If one dies by accident or some other reason, I mean it’s really going to suck. A rare and expensive fish will give me a looming sense of dread. For my first tank I’m going to focus on what’s attainable and preferably with some utility while easy to do well in captivity. Sigh.....

Now if I get a second, preferably larger tank, I’m sure I’ll have more experience by then and I’ll be more confident obtaining more expensive / rarer fish. Until then, I guess I’ll have to be satisfied looking at pictures from all you guys lol.

I would love a Clarion Angel, lol, but just looking at that price tag gives me a heart attack.

Doryrhamphus malus male (from Indonesia) with an African Doryrhamphus excisus female. He was a rare find at a local store and they had no idea that it wasn't just a regular bluestripe pipefish.

Unfortunately he didn't even last a week...

Doryrhamphus paulus a rare find on Diver's Den and seemingly nobody else was interested. Unfortunately, I never found him a female...

Anyone been able to get ahold of a Cheilinus undulatus? My skin will start to look like the hulk from jealousy if anyone does, lol
