The flow in the tank looks very well.
8 pumps is a lot.
The WWC shallow reef has only 3 pumps (pretty big pumps).
The price of pumps is of course also a reason to look for more, rather than to get big.

The corals and colours look stunning.
Hey Jan.
I am now using "only" 6, due to the problems with 2 of them.
The good thing about using so many pumps is the possibillity of fine tune each one, and get a proper circulation in each section of the tank.

Everything is looking really nice Alex!
Thanks!

One year ago my Apex salinity probe stopped working after 8 years of work.

I almost bought a new one, but the quantity of bad reviews changed my mind.

For this period I kept my salinity in check using an optical refractometer, what is a very annoying thing to do.

To solve this, I decided to give the Hanna Salinity tester a try.

Until now, I'm finding it very easy to use and very reliable.

My system isn't young.

This setup has been running since 2016 and some of my equipment was bought in 2010~2012.

One thing that was doing extra time was my CO2 regulator.

I decided to buy a new one and used the opportunity to change all the plumbing and the CO2 cylinder too. Both regulators are Tunze. I found it very stable and didn't want to switch brands.

I'll now repair my old CO2 regulator and my cylinder too, doing a hydrostatic test, recharge it and keep both as a backup.

Looking great, Alex.
Love the colours.
That CO2 cylinder needed some TLC...

Hey Jan!
Thanks!!

I'll try to put it back to work, after cleaning, testing, painting, refilling, etc., etc., etc.......
So far, it's on the side of my sump, gaining a dust blanket...:grinning-face-with-sweat:

Strange but the needle valve of my new Tunze regulator is a little bit sensitive. Far more than the older one.
It's giving me a hard time to get my PH inside the reactor stable.
I'll have to figure out how to deal with it.

Alex, if you are not getting enough fine control with a needle valve, check how many threads per inch the thread in the valve stem has. Swap it out for a needle valve with a larger number of threads per inch in the valve stem. This will help you to make finer adjustments to the valve's opening.
