Acan's love nutrients, try spot feeding each polyp of the frag.

I spot fed EVERY polyp (mixture of lps max, reed roids, red sea a and b) of all of my Acan's which was about 25-30 at the peak of my collection. Low par,low light, heavy feeding (once mid week, once post wc) and had GREAT success with coloration and an insane growth rate.

Sometimes something ticks it off, they recede, then boom they are back to being super puffy.

+1 for acans being moody.
