Been fighting this algae for a couple months, picked up some sea lettuce to eat it. Manual removal just made it spread 🙃 I had thought it was bryopsis but I got an orphek lense kit and took a photo with it and the once green looking algae to the eye actually seems like it might be red. Any ideas on what it is? Either way the sea slugs seem to be enjoying it.

They have been all over it and I've watched them munch on it for several days now 🤷‍♂️
Well for sure if it’s bad and they are eating it then you got a good thing going! I’m super curious myself what it is though. @ISpeakForTheSeas ?

How big is your tank? A tang would make quick work of that

This is my nano 20G AiO tank. Nowhere near big enough for a tang sadly. I supposed I could rehome my small tang from the big tank for a small while to try and combat it.

No tangs in a 20 gallon please!
It is a macro algae, if you don't want it you'll need to manually pull it all out of your tank, or it will keep growing.
