On my naked clown, it looks like he has some stuff on his fins and red gills? He wasn’t like this yesterday. Eating fine! Any idea what it could be?

That's usually a sign of ammonia burn, what's the history of the tank and have you tested your water?

Sorry I'm going based off the small thumbnails because for whatever reason videos hosted on the site just don't load for me.

Everything else in the tank is doing fine! I have An apex, but it doesn’t test for ammonia just ACH/NP. Nitrates are a little high. Dosed with Prime

Tank is about 4 months old. 2 clowns, 1 fire fin, 1 goby and a heavy CUC. Love Rick, sump with roller and protein skimmer.

I can't see the posted videos either, but at 4 month in it's not likely to be ammonia, so possibly gill flukes?

Can you first post the videos to YouTube and then link them back here? That way all R2R members can see your videos. Then, maybe one of the R2R #fishmedic guys can take a look.

Another video

I’ve seen translucent gill covers on young naked clowns before and never thought much about it. They often grow out of it in a month or two.

However, I can’t account for why this would develop suddenly in your fish.

Pale gills means anemia, or gill disease, but redder than normal gills don’t really indicate anything.

It’s not scratching or breathing fast?

No he’s acting totally normal! Eating, swimming, no scratching or heavy breathing.

Sorry - not sure what this could be. So it looks like it’s spreading?

Can you post a new video?
Do you have access to a treatment tank?
