Red monti cap help

So I just purchased a red monti cap from wwc and this is my first sps so I don’t know if this looks good or not, can anyone help me out? Maybe give me a few pointers or something lol

Well, a photo sure would help, along with all your parameters, tank and sump size, lighting, tank age, etc., etc.

Looks fine to me. Tell us more about your tank setup. What lighting? How much flow?
What are you doing for Calcium and Alk?

What are you doing for Calcium and Alk?
90 gallon with 20 gallon sump, 2 165 watt wills black boxes, only flow is from my sump pump witch is on wave mode circulating 600 gallons per hour,!dosing seachem advantage for calcium and seachem fusion 2 for alkalinity, using Hanna checker for alkalinity and salifert for calcium but waiting on a better test kit in the mail, just put the red cap in today I just don’t know how it looks open/closed or if the color looks right

Looks fine to me.

God I hope that frag was about 0.25$. When I initially bought mine, my LFS gave me a huge fist sized chunk just to get rid of it.

Heck I throw more then that away a week in accidental fragging. lol

No......it was 15$ lol, I’m guessing they aren’t worth much? I wish I could have got mine for free that would have been very nice, I’m glad it looks good though
