my lfs guy just called me to let me know that they have this fish in stock for 50 usd. just wanna know more bout this fish before i get it. any info on how to care for it and if it can withstand copper treatment for 1 mth? thx :)

That is a bargain for a rhinopias. I have not tried copper on any, but they are a scorpioniid, so should be able to handle it.

However, they aren't often kept with other tankmates, due to their predatary nature, so it's one of the few situations where you could get away without a qt.

its going to a 280 gallon fish only tank ... so definitely have to QT ... its arriving this saturday with a blue ribbon eel ..

It's not a good choice to be kept with other fish. They can eat fish 25% larger than themselves. And deep bodied fish, such as tangs, angels, and butterflies pick at the sedentary rhinopias. Triggers and puffers nip at them. Wrasses and lionfish will be eaten by a rhinopias.

Unless your tank is stocked with only soldierfish or groupers too big to be eaten, there aren't too many good tankmate options for a rhinopias.
