Red sea 250

what one light would be good for a red sea 250? Or would two smaller ones be better

Do you have a preference as far as T5, LED, or Halide?

Depended on which light you went with, two lights would be needed to cover the 35.5 inch length of the tank.
If you're going with soft and lps corals a pair of single puck leds would work. If you're going more heavy into SPS I would do a pair of dual puck LEDS
