I've never seen any posts from actual Red Sea staff replying. I guess they are more reserved here compared to their so-called official FB group page. In the FB page, they are quick to boot you out if you post about failures. It's all good, I joined the uncensored FB page group.

Hey! Do you mind uploading a pic of the Serial Number label? Or Pm me? We’re discussing Gen 2 seam fails in a local club with an LFS owner who has contact with a Red Sea rep. Apparently the Red Sea rep says there is no documented seam fails for G2 tanks, which I know isn’t true due to all the posts I’ve seen.

I had 1 525xl lasted 5 years before bottom seem failed… they gave me a discount so I purchased a 750 xxl g2+ seam failed 3 weeks later! Sent me another tank and I don’t think I’ll fill the new one! Anyone wanna buy it cheep…

Can a total reseal fix the tank?

Eurobrace the bottom and top if you are going to fix it yourself.

2024 is what I was told it’s the g2+ I still have the band new on they sent in my garage.. I’m gonna have glass cut to make euro braces for a new one….

Or sell it… anyone want tank stand and sump bought in July 2500.00 750 g2+ tank has never had water in it! Honestly, I’m scared to set it up again it’s just too much work. It’s so big and heavy!

I wanted to buy a new stand for it and make a mangrove sump… But I can’t find anyone to hire to move the new one much less the old one too… I will absolutely give it away. If you wanna come get te glass I have a 525 XL in my yard you can have also….
