I needed to move my 40g breeder that had been running for almost 3 years and talked the wife into letting me upgrade.

I didn't take many photos of the initial build since I was moving things from an existing tank, I was hurrying to get fish and coral out of a rubbermaid container.

Thanks, he's one of my favorites. I want to add a really nice rainbow trachy.
I really like it, I was worried about it covering a 4ft tank, but it works with my aqua-scape.

I added an Apex El and decided to clean my cabinet up.

And now it looks like this:

I also upgraded my return pump with an Aquamaxx VSR-9000 return pump.

What % do you run your icecap at? What kind of flow are you getting? I have the maxspect Fx250 and run it anywhere from 20% to 60% on a mixed mostly lps. I’m about to add more sps. So I’m trying to get an idea of how much more flow I need.

I have mine set to the following schedule:

08:00 Gradual Pulse @ 70%
14:00 Random @ 100%
23:00 Constant @ 40% - I think I may change this to Gradual Pulse as well.

I have an MP10 on the opposite side that runs every other hour from 07:00 to 22:00.
