Red Velvet Slime

Is busting out on some of my rocks in patches. Anyone know what it is or what I should do?

I think it's cyanobactria......Not a true algae try adding flow to those areas and check for Phosphates and nitrates.....Usually a sign of deteriorating water quality.....There are cures for it but they are only band-aids for the real problem...

i second the notion for flow. This appears when there is no flow

Yep sounds like Cyano to me. Do some water changes

Water change followed by phosban reactor and the addition of a tiger conch.:smile:
