Are you going and removing that colony all together, fragging it all or just relocating?

Glas you had time for all of that! Tank looks great and that's a huge colony! WOW!! Hope you find a nice place or home for it.

Beautiful colony, i was pretty sad when i saw it broken off the other day, that one was not fragged on purpose, but now that it is, it is for the best. The hawkfish is really going to miss it too, it was always perched up in its branches. It is currently in the back yard. I think i am going to bleach it, and see if i can get it spray painted close to what it used to look like and put it on my desk at work.

Well I have to say... I feel bad for you, that genuinely sucks, but... I will have you know it makes me feel a teensy bit better because I showed that picture to my wife and said "look at this guy, he grows so much coral he throws out colonies bigger than ive ever even grown!" And if was a tiny bit salty

Time for an update, kinda. Ish.
Whilst doing a water change in my daughter's tank, I happened to notice something fun.

For those of you wondering: "what the flip? Is that a streak in the picture or what is he on about?", it is clownfish eggs!

Kinda hard to get a pic with the flow back on :/ shoulda grabbed one earlier when it was off i guess. Tank is looking pretty good, she even keeps the glass mostly clean too.
Anyhow. I told her, and she is now excited and thinks she is going to be a professional clownfish breeder... we shall see about that part though, who knows.

Other update: my 75 is doing awesome, filling back in nicely. Id get a pic but i dont want to make anyone in the growout contests jealous

I'm super jelly of the clownfish eggs! How old are the pair that laid them? If they are spawning, she is doing an excellent job caring for them!

Without some pretty targeted effort to rear them, the larvae will all become food for the tank.

The female is 5 or so, the male is only a year or two old. She really is getting better at taking care of them! Now at least, they missed a few meals when she was getting it all figured out.
Yep, that's what I told her. They are probably firefish food and destined to end up in the filter. I dont have high hopes for the first couple clutches. We'll have to see about getting some rotifers and a brine shrimp hatchery going. Maybe sometime this fall.

( I know, I need to do some non-team building exercise too...)

Also, more golf (the sow and cubs live on the back 9 of this course):

Tank is doing quite well despite the overall 'neglect'. Not really neglect i guess, it has everything it needs, i just am not tinkering with it very much. It seems to like the hands off approach anyhow. I did manage to clean the glass (most of it) and did a 10 gallon waterchange today.

This diabloberrybow is starting to explode, love the way it is turning out!

This whole island is really looking good. I missed some of the forest fire though and will have to kalk it again looks like. And the freaking discosomas need to go. I need to work a little more consistently to get rid of those.

Oh, they were probably after some cheetoes or something. They have crazy good noses. I was surprised how gentle they were, definitely not the first time they played grand theft auto. Didnt even tear the leather! Just a small scratch on the plastic handle where mama used her teeth to pull the door open.

My oldest son went to Gatlinville Tennessee to do some hiking. One day they got back and his car door was open, center console and glovebox. Only damage was muddy bear tracks all over the front and back seats.
