Congratulation!!!!! With the 3 boys I didn't have morning sickness, but with the girls I did. I couldn't stand the smell of coffee.
Thank you! That does not sound like fun, morning sickness, gagging at all hours for no reason. It is hard to watch too

Ok, party people. Update time! Not tank updates... it is currently an algae covered wasteland...

I got my 3d printer parts all installed, they have made a world of difference! I also updated firmware and made a switch from cura to orca slicer. I have spent the last 2 evenings messing around with settings getting things tuned up and it is like a whole new printer, very happy with it now (although it is still just an ender 3v2).

Anywho, i did some test prints to verify the geometry for the hanna eggs and I think i have that nailed down finally. I will update the model to reflect those changes and ship it out to @That Crusso Kid probably tomorrow. Have a great weekend!

Orca is such a huge improvement over Cura. I dumped Cura a few years ago, when I had my Ender 3 S1 Pro for Prusa slicer (that both Bambu Studio and indirectly Orca are based on) and things were just easier to slice and easier to tune.

Glad your printer is back in action.

Guess who's daughter got some nail art stuff for Christmas!
(...and who found out too late that there is not any nail polish remover in their home and got to go to church like that...)

You know that interview question where they ask 'what is your biggest flaw'? Lately, I feel that my biggest flaw is that I am detrimentally and persistently optimistic. And sometimes I view tasks in a vacuum. IE only that task piece and not how that task fits into the mangled puzzle that is my day. Especially when it comes to time estimates for completion of those tasks.

Rant aside, I wholly anticipated getting @DarthRaiderBob's model finished sunday afternoon but (excuses about things, work things mostly). I want to give an update, as well as request feedback. I don't love where the cap holders go, but there isn't really anywhere better i can think of unless i make the shelves so they don't hook together to make 1 longer shelf. Any thoughts(really about anything, from anyone)?

That will hold instruction booklets, 2 alk sized reagent bottles, 2 kinds of sachets, 1 larger reagent bottle, 2 5mil syringes and 5 1mil syringes on the top. then 2 10mil syringes and the fancy one that comes with cal on the side. Am i missing anything? Also the threads on the cuvettes are a GL14, which is not a preset and had to be custom modeled :/ I had to learn things lol.

I like it. Only thing I see that is "off" is the spacing between the holes in the middle tier.

What are the overall dims on it?

Ok, tank related update:

Today is the 1 year mark for my first Battlecorals grow-out contest. I think it was pretty fun and would encourage any of you with time and desire to enter one if you get the chance. Was really cool to see how this same coral took different growth forms and a little color differences in other peoples tanks as well as be able to compare how fast yours is growing to theirs.

Here is the frag i received January 14th of 2025:

And this is what it looks like a full year later:

Looks really good, I wouldn't have noticed the spacing until it was in front of me so thanks @That Crusso Kid, I don't mind the caps on the ends, I would rather they were able to connect together than try to figure out a better space for the caps if that makes sense. I apologize it took longer for me to answer this, I was feeling pretty cruddy last night and went to bed early.

Awesome (your feedback, not that you have taken ill), i will keep going down that road then and make sure that they are connectable. Tis the season for flu and all the other junk. Get well soon dude!

Thankfully, sleep is the best medicine for me so, I'm still pretty exhausted but I think I avoided the worst of it by going to bed early last night. Generally speaking, on the rare occasion I do end up sick, I just come home, go to bed and sleep until the next day and 95% of the time, I'm better when I wake up.

Thanks for the kudos, Bob.

Some people say I have a slight problem with details and being a perfectionist. It's a blessinng and a curse. It's just part of my OCD. I must say, though, that I'm not nearly as bad as I used to be thanks to recent advances in medication.
