Awesome build! How big is the chamber for the skimmer? Waiting on mine and want to know how big of a skimmer I can go. Thanks!

313 mm wide — he shared a picture on p.4 that shows exact dimensions which should be helpful for

The start of the electronics cabinet. Built from 3/4 maple and will be painted black to match the cabinet interior. The face will have my Apex, Reefwave controllers, Ink Birds, ATO, and return controllers. Inside will be all the power bricks, 2 EB832’s, and temporaly my dosing pumps until I get some Neptune DOS’s to put in my fish closet. The CAD drawings on page 1 show the layout. I also have a section for switches and buttons to activate feed modes, maintenance modes, and shutting things down

Goal for this evening is to get this cabinet painted, and give the equipment coming from the old system a citric acid wash

This is fantastic. You and I have a very similar looking style of home, complete with the gray hardwood floors and light gray walls. The light fixture is amazing. Well done!

Last night I finished up installed the door switches and LED’s for the cabinet lighting, installed the cabinet that will hold all the controllers, wiring, and power bricks, cleaned up all the equipment being transferred from my current tank, and mounted all the cable raceways for the equipment. Today I’ll be receiving all new filters for my RODI system plus the 150gpd upgrade kit. Water should start flowing in this evening and I’m hoping to get the 2 new lights installed as well

Last night I upgraded my 6 stage BRS RODI system to 150 gallons/day and started filling the tank

Next I rinsed and added the Carib Sea dry sand. I also have a bag of ocean direct sand I will be adding once the tank is full of salt water. This is mainly for the beneficial bacteria. I rinsed each bag of dry sand in a bucket with the hose for about 15 minutes. Then drained and rinsed in RODI water.

I mounted 2 of the Hydra 32’s and wired them up to the extensions running through the wall. They are mounted with some brackets I had 3D printed.

I also was able to get both InkBird controllers mounted and installed along with the BRS heaters. The second EB832 got mounted as well as some additional cable raceways inside the electronics cabinet.

Todays goals are to install the ReefWave 45's. I will have to extend some of the wiring for the ones on the left side to reach into the cabinet. I also want to get the Break out box wired and connected to all the inputs and switches as well as mounting the power bricks for all the equipment. Basically just want to get all the electronics wired and tidy. Once I transfer the fish and coral from my 75g I'll add the remaining equipment.

Tank is full and most of the electronics have been installed. It’s a tight space to fit a lot of stuff but I’m making it work. Will tidy it up even more once everything is installled. I need to remove my Apex, Trident, ATO, return, skimmer, and another Reefwave from my 75g and install it in this cabinet. Tonight I’m going to be pulling most of that off leaving just the reefwave and a heater installed in the 75 to keep the fish happy and healthy. I need to get the return installed to start clearing up the water and to help mix the salt in.

It finally lives. I transferred all the gear from my old tank to the new tank and finished up all the wiring, apex programming, and started mixing in the salt. Once it’s at the correct salinity I’ll add a bag of ocean direct sand and the bio brick from my current tank to get it running.
