Hello all! I have been quite inactive for the past year but I am coming back. My tank has undergone a lot, right now I only have a clownfish and a pajama cardinal in the tank and just did a massive rock cleaning trying to remove as much bubble algae. Tons of corals have died. It might have been from the bubble algae growing all the way up the coral. Currently there is a large trachy, trumpet coral, frogspawn, zoas, mushrooms, acans, and a lobo. The trachy looks awesome and so do my mushrooms and zoas. However, the acans, lobo, and trumpet don’t look too hot which has been the. Case for months. I haven’t dozed or done a water change in a while but did one yesterday. I just checked a couple levels so here we go:
Alk: 7.0 DKH
Calcium: 320-330
Mag: 1240 ppm
Nitrate: 0
Salinity: 1.024

Can't tell what the tank looks like in blue lighting.

If able slowly start dosing to get parameters back where they should be. Either dose nitrate or start feeding heavier. Tank is likely where it's at due to low alk and no nitrate.

sorry for the bad pictures, this room is very dark with not much light besides the tank lights. Should I be adding a couple more fish and maybe introduce more clean up crew? Is it possible that the algae caused the death of coral

Without some pics with white light it's hard to give an answer. Blue lighting makes photos really hard to see.

Depending on the photos a rip clean might be the best thing. I'll tag @brandon429 to explain more and weigh in.

Hi everyone! Just a quick update! I was able to do extensive water changes, add fish, test everyday and dose. Currently my levels are back on track. After a year of neglect I am happy to say this tank looks great! I got puffy acans, more mushrooms growing, buds of frogspawn, puffy candy canes! Your help really led this to be reality!
