Well I was just notified I won $225 in reef breeders gift cards so it looks like a meridian 11 will be the permanent fixture going over my new IM 20.

Display is 12x24" so I should have enough light to grow anything I would think. I have a photon BOT mount that reef breeders confirmed will work so I should be set to go.

:) Just got home to new meridians and parts to connect them together.

@Reef Breeders 2 questions please.. my photons are 100% all blues all day with 4 hours of white green and red at 50-60%. Would you recommend matching the intensity with a par meter or lowering par for an acclimation?
Second question…. If I want to make a frame out of 80/20 aluminum T extrusion to suspend these 3 lights with, what do I need? 10/10, 15/15, 20/20 or what? I just need to know what series to order so that the hardware works.
Thanks!!!

What does the group seem to like better with the edge bars? Paired with meridians, royal ice or uv/ blue? I’m leaning toward royal ice since the meridians have uv.

It appears there are more led diodes in the 440-465 range in the meridian layout.

I went with 14k since white is the only channel I found to be lacking. Also I run my tank in the 14k spectrum range most of the day

Way cleaner look, went from 4 electric outlets to 1. These lights are powerful compared to my outdated kessils

I was going to sell the brackets and throw the lights away they are pretty old

Do you have a PAR meter? I am replacing my 2 Kessill a360x as well with a 35 and I am worried about the more intense PAR output. Curious how you went about it and if you did a gradual increase or not.

Thanks!

I don’t have a par meter and since I don’t really have any corals yet I copied another users schedule that you can see on the app.the app gets a lot of criticism on here but it does what you need it to.
