Can someone help me setup my lights? I have a 48”x 24” tank. I just received my light. Have it connected to the app but I don’t know what percentages to start everything at

How high up do you have the light mounted and do you have the stock optics ?

Roughly 10” at the moment. And yes I haven’t made any changes to the lenses

The Meridian is made at the same factory the Photon is made. The lumenbars are made at a different factory and are not built to the same level that the Meridians or photons are.

Edge bars are made at the same factory as Meridians.

Can edge bars mount to photons built in T-slot stand offs ?

As far as the app goes you probably need new hardware, can you reach out to our customer service portal and I’ll get that process started?

as far as enabling tilt with edge bars you can connect the articulating mounts edge to edge so I think you should be able to achieve your goal this way. I’ll definitely see what I can do to help you in that regard.

Thanks. I just got mine a few weeks ago so I’d be surprised if it’s hardware. If you’ve updated the app I haven’t tried again since the day I installed it (the built in timer is doing the trick). If there’s a more recent update I’ll install it this weekend and see if it works better.

I have a few questions on the lumen bars @Reef Breeders . I noticed they were on sale and I'm looking to add some to my photon to help with shadowing and adding a little more pop to my tank. I'm currently running a 48" v2pro my tank is 48" long by 2' wide with an overflow in the back corner. I was looking at adding a 36" on one side and 48" lumen bar on the other. I'm wondering if the high octane UV or the blue/uv hybrid may be a better option since the reefer 14k are no longer available. Any advise?

High Octane UV is going to produce the least amount of PAR and won’t give you the kind of pop I think you are looking for. It’s a specialty spectrum designed to fill a gap in the photon spectrum it’s not designed to extend the spread of the light it’s designed to enhance the spectrum. UV produces lower par than all the other spectrums and it’s the only spectrum that much of it is not visible to the human eye.

For your needs I recommend either the Blue/UV hybrid or for maximum PAR and pop go with the Royal Ice since that produces the highest PAR and the blues provide the pop.

The UV in the Blue UV will give you a nice balance of both it will fill the gap in your Photon which only goes down to 420 violet but also adds the extra royal blue to boost your par up and assist with the areas that need more light and will benefit your SPS with the extra UV.

Yeah if the light is new you probably just need to update the app.

Can edge bars mount to photons built in T-slot stand offs ?

The edge bars have t tracks on top so you could definitely make them work with the photons.

Just ordered my 63” meridian for my 6 ft tank I’m excited :)

Just recieved my Meridian 63 today from BRS. I actually recieved two by mistake lol (return of second initiated)

I just set it up over my tank. What a a solid looking light. I had the photon 48 V2 on a 6 foot tank. The way this light illuminated the edges is superb. I no longer feel limited in my coral placement.

I put the light up 10". Are there any recommended light schedules for a mixed reef few SPS mostly softy and lps? I noticed on the app that you can share schedules.

I was really impressed with how well these lights were packed. There is an outer box with reinforced corners on the outside. Then there is a inner box that has the light suspended and supported in it. Then the cloth sleeve.

The cloth sleeve was the cherry on top *chef's Kiss

Mine had foot prints all over it and some tears on the outter. The innie was unscathed

X-37b has a “flat reef” so his opinion and advice do not matter.

Seems you are the one with hurt feelings needing to restart this. It’s well established at this point that the meridian 35 is designed for a 48” tank and not overkill. Confirmed by RB and other owners. Also skimmer is not needed for sps. You’re welcome to your opinion but remember, it’s opinion not fact.

So you need to show everybody your nice corals for the 1000th time. You do have nice corals, sure, but aquascaping with plastic? That's different, what, where you afraid of algae?

Thanks for sharing your opinion, again. But it is once again, opinion and not fact. You have no idea what my plans are, there is no plastic aquascaping, I have grow out racks that are temporary, doing their job stuffed with corals, and will be removed in the near future.

Additionally, due to your personality, I put no value in your opinion of my tank, or methods, both of which are successful.

It’s a shame that we can’t get along and you have to talk down about multiple peoples tanks in this thread, and push your inaccurate opinions unnecessarily. Classic know it all who gets angry when called out for being wrong. Good grief

Where are ANY pictures of your corals?
Imagine narrowing your interests down with another human being, to a hobby as specific as reefing, and then polarizing it they way you are trying to here.
I'm sorry that @VintageReefer is so busy that he can't post his tank's pictures 1001 times, insteadof 1,000.

Your style of reefing may not be for everyone, but the colors you have there, will light up anyone's eye.
