I’m going to preface this that I know it’s not perfect, I need to get some testing kits so if you ask for parameters I don’t have them besides salinity (I run at 33.5 ppt).

Tank: Reef Casa Tide, 12 Gallon
Lighting: Kessil A160 (Spectrum controller)
Heating: 30W Helios (would not recommend going this low of wattage, I have since added a 50 W Heater to help hold temp)
Additional: Carbon Packs, large container of filter media in sip bag
Livestock: Clown pair, sand sifting goby (plan to rehome to bigger tank in the future)
Sand: AF Bio sand
ATO: Auto Aqua Smart ATO (Broke within two weeks, returned it)

Started the tank with Turbo in October, soaked the live rock in the starter in a bucket for a day, then added with sand. Hold salinity at 33.5 ppt, Hanna Meter. Added three bottles of rotifers and a bottle of zooplankton once the cycle started. Added Zoas in November, no issues with them. Added the goby next once the cycle was in full speed towards end of November. Added Torch, Duncan, RNasty Montipora, hammer corals, plating sponge coral and clove polyps a week ago. Everything running well, I don’t feel like I’m getting full extension on my torch but everything else looks happy.

Only thing that’s new to me is keeping SPS Coral, that being the montipora, I was told this variation was very hardy. Getting test kits soon to check parameters, otherwise just doing biweekly water changes and keeping everything steady.

Currently having an issue with my sand sifting goby clouding up the whole tank? Any ideas how to clear up the water without getting rid of him?

I give you the 100 gph power head, the nano of nano power heads. It’s a hygger 100gph pump with a random flow nozzle.

Hence the reason I will not add a goby. Love the fish, not willing to sacrifice water clarity.
How is the tank doing other wise?

Goby jumped out of the tank, rip

But I got a tiger conch to replace him for sand bed maintenance and the tiger conch is next level good, bed is super clean

Weekly water changes are keeping things happy, but temp control is constant issue with freeze but now it’s consistent since freeze is over.
