I'm loving the NEW DD JumpGuard with Neat Aquatics Feeding port, a lot lesser glare.

Glad I’m not the only one who HATES the Pisces ArtFully Acrylic clearview lid! I’m definitely switching over to the DD Jumpguard. I don’t see any more room in your tank for more SPS but I’m sure you can figure something out!

Are you thinking about adding more flow? I currently have two MP40s on top and I want to add a gyre in the overflow (middle section) and two more MP40s on the bottom. I’ve switched over to SPS-dominant so I’m gonna need a ton more flow. Good thing I have barebottom as well so it won’t be an issue and my bottom glass is almost fully covered in coralline algae.

Where did you purchase your meat corals and trachys/wellsos?

Not looking back on ClearView lids… bulky and the glare from top is disturbing to say the least. I’m keeping the Flow where the SPS are, on the upper half, my LPS is already taking a beating from my 2 WAV @ 60% average.

All my top shelves are for SPS. I had holes drilled at 1-2” interval throughout the STAX, and affixed a 5mm diameter acrylic rods to the base of my SPS, so l can shift them around.

We have the lots of coral choices with Indonesia and Australia at our backyard.

Just spent a good part of today, troubleshooting a failed return pump (COR20), adverted another “quit hobby” catastrophe. Given the circumstances, I rushed to buy another COR20 and just got the sump to tank circulation online.

The problem is a faulty brick, these thing don’t last long and they cost a lot from Neptune. I will be sourcing for a few just in case.

My fish load is overwhelming my low nutrient i strive hard to keep during the fallow period, PO4 shot up to 0.60ppm from 0.02ppm, and NO3 25ppm from 3ppm. LPS is doing well, I would say even better…Lost most of my SPS colonies, except Tonga Pink Birdnest and Bali Strawberry Shortcake. Trying Rowaphos and DVH All in One Biopellets now. Sticking with LPS for now. Also spreading out the species gardens… they are shading each other as they grow!

I ran my tank fallow for 80+ days, TTM with PARAGUARD/H2O2 all my fishes for full 15 days and running UV 24/7, ICK still managed to creep into my tank. My best guess is through corals additions.

I tried POLYPLAB MEDIC and OCRALAB RES Q in full strength full course at the first sight of ICK, during which saw my 80% of SPS RTN. Both did kept ICK at relatively low count, but the collateral damage was overwhelming.

Now I just manage ICK with Dr G medicated (CP) foods with every addition of new fish and feed daily with TPO pellets soaked in TM Lipovit and Immuivit with good results. Still running 80W UV at parasite killing flow rate though.

Just acquired this fine BTA…planning to start a nano tank with it. Decided on a pair of rare matching clowns…not saying much till it’s in town.

Add a Brazilian Banana Eel today!

Immediately the Tangs gang showed him who’s boss!

All my Anthias started schooling together regardless of type, as if they know there’s a predator around.

The neon goby, the smallest fella in the tank started cleaning the eel!

FWIW, It’s a small eel under 10”, no immediate threat to the inhabitants.

Added a pair of Mccullochi clowns…but no more anemone for me, since the clash of anemone and powerhead… that almost took me outta the hobby. Seems like they are taking to the hammer garden.

Wow... thats a lot of work to go through and still end up with Ich. Im running ich management as well and feed really well (Soaked pellets in vitamins, LRS, Seaweed and my own clam food cut up from fresh clams). I haven't seen a spot in... well I don't remember the last time. My UV has also been off line for months.

Sorry to read you lost most of your SPS... I had an issue with my P04 getting to high and also lost several but thankfully have the majority still. I had to start dosing NoPox to bring both my nitrates and phosphates down and so far so good.
Anyway beautiful tank! Love all the LPS. Also noticed you have several Alveoporas - as do I. Love them and don't see all that often in other tanks.
