Also put an order on an easy LPS Homophyllia Bowerbanki frag as my canary coral.

That sucks.

Is that a redhead salon fairy wrasse?
Yes... it refuses to eat, and died within 48hrs.

Whereas the Flasher and Nakao ate pellets like no tomorrow also my skunk cleaner shrimp ate so much that it molted!

Onto the second 72hrs of TTM!

I had a Redhead Salon Fairy Wrasse that went pretty much the same way yours did but it took longer for him to die.

Beautiful fish but would not eat.
He would bury in the sand at night, get up and out of the sand in the morning but would not eat.

Yes, they are too pretty to be ignored. Well, I told my LFS to look out for a feeding one. Didn’t expect wrasses to be picky though.

I have some HIKARI frozen blood worms on standby just in case they need some coaxing. Lesson learned, never buy a non feeding fish!

Also the Tank Transfer Method (TTM) QT is going through my salts fast, it’s like having partial water change for my display tank every 72 hours. Guess my mollies are not complaining.

Another wrasse bites the dust! This time it’s the Naoko Wrasse on the 3rd 72hrs of the TTM. It was doing well on the 2nd 72hrs, not sure if the second 30min H2O2 bathe had anything to do with it. I just hope if I have any fish left at the end of TTM.

Maybe you should stop the ttm?
You losing a lot of fish.
Stopping TTM did cross my mind. But my LFS brings in fishes from all over the place and puts them for sale in less than 24 hours, better be safe than sorry. I am starting on my second batch of fishes in their 2nd 72 hours...

1. Royal Gamma - Caribean
2. Redhead Salon Fairy Wrasse (bigger size than the last one) - Indo Bali
3. Wrasse (unidentified but its a jumper) - Indo Bali
4. Black Percula x 2 - Indo Bali

Dip some torches in Coral Rx... and in they go.

There are other ways.

Observation to see if they need to even go through the stress of treatment.
Medication IF needed.

Or

Treat with Metroplex + kanaplex + furan-2
Then Prazipro.

Treatt for ick and velvet IF needed instead of stressing the fish to death.

I'm my opinion, simple observation in a calm stress free environment is best for new fish. Get them comfortable and get them eating.
If sick, get them healthy.

Totally. I'm in favour of non medication, therefore my TTM is primarily observation with a tank change every 72 hours. With the 2 session of 30mins H2O2 soak spaced it.

Maybe instead of TTM, just put them in a tank, get them feeding and observe...would be a better choice.

Bought a bunch of blue eye cardinals, 15 of them yesterday. Ended up with only 5 today. They've been doing fine in the LFS for over a month. Fragile little fellas.

The death of 10 cardinals, prompted me to do a water test and I'm up for a rude awakening of... 0.35PPM of Phosphate! (HANNA CHECKER). Ammonia still 0, Nitrate 12ppm.

Hope my LPS can live with the 0.35ppm of phosphate. Will be gradually changing out the water over the next few days and observe.

My ATS still bare...

Two days ago, I’d cleaned the sump and washed the bio media along with 20% water change, didn’t put a dent on the phosphate and nitrate levels when I measured them yesterday and today reading a constant PO4 0.35ppm and NO3 of 12ppm. Feeding my fishes 3x a day with TDO Chroma Boost via AFS and POLYPLAB Reef Roids 2x a week certainly didn’t help with the situation.

As it is, I’m observing very slight browning on my sand surface, but little to none algae on my ATS.

Next, will be giving carbon dosing a shot with the TROPIC MARIN ELIMI-NP.

My silver belly wrasse bit the dust today. Spotted this morning thru my WYZE Pan Cam (planning to mount on the long side of the aquarium). So far impressed with the video quality at the price point.

Likely be getting another one for the sump.

You might need to get an icp test done.
You have lost a lot of fish in a short time.

Something is wrong.
Insofar this is the 2nd in tank death, the rest are during QT.

Nonetheless ICP is a good baseline.

Will be combating the phosphate with TM ELIMI NP over the next 2 weeks. Will be halting more fishes, will be focusing on getting the environment conducive for LPS first then SPS. TLF REBORN still nowhere to be seen, putting my calcium reactor and TRIDENT on standby mode.

I’m doing water changes with TM Reef Pro salt away from my initial run in with TM Classic salt. About 10-20% weekly, in hope of raising the parameters for the coming SPS.

Turned off the UV while carbon dosing. Skimmer went crazy on me, spilling skim-mate backed to the sump, creating a big mess with foam in the return compartment as well. Had to dialed back on the air intake and water level to the minimum to barely arrest the spillage. Likely to do a phosphate, nitrate test tomorrow to see any drop.

Can’t resist the Orange Glitter Acantophyllia and bought it!

Bought another Acantophyllia, according to LFS it’s the IRONMAN... red and yellow. Unfortunately the light is not doing it justice.

An incident happened with the Orange glitter Acantophyllia where a frag of frogspawn fell right onto it, and battled it. Hope it will recover soon.
