Reefer 525xl sump rebuild

Hi.. Im doing a sump rebuild of my red sea reefer 525 sump.

The idea is to make room for the clarisea sk5000 and a refugium.
The yelllow line represent water over the wall and blue line under the wall.

Any thoughts?

The refugium is going where the socks are? Why is that area so small but the skimmer section so big??

Good question.
I have given it some thought. And i will try fitting the clarisea and the skimmer before the refugium in one section

Here’s my sump it’s a Red Sea 450 I converted a small tank to a refugium. But will be redoing my sump soon.
