They shipped Monday and DHL says it got local and cleared customs last night, out for delivery today. Hopefully it arrives!
Considering it’s coming from Beirut, pretty darn quick!

That’s what scars me no local distributors for the product

My bank or credit card company won’t let me buy it. Even with verbal approval. :( Guess I’m waiting for trident...

That’s half of reef gear though . For what it’s worth I have heard only good things from the ones who has ReefBot or I wouldn’t have pulled the trigger . As for parts , they say to replace the needle , it’s not that complicated, I just hope the App works good

Yep, my visa declined the charge. But I was persistent and went through 2 customer service reps to finally get it cleared and authorized after >5 attempts and fraud alerts.

Well well well, look what we got here! :D My ancient iphone5 pictures will never match the advertising, but here you go!

Pretty solid packaging. Everything came in nicely. Lots of dust like particles from the foam packaging. Im somewhat concerned about it being in the test chambers and will have to read how to clean them out.

Test Chamber dust that I mentioned. Should be easy to clean out.

All parts are placed securely inside.

Each bottle has its own stirrer. Bunch of extra needles and syringes. Tubing, connectors, extra stirrers and adhesive labels (no need for the word doc!)

Power Supply. Its beefy, initial observation on this one is that I'm not 100% sure its sealed on the bottom, Taiwanese electronics are usually pretty good but still, like all electronics, not meant for water. My recommendation would be to keep this off the floor and away from the splash zone.

Hopefully I'll find time to get this up and running soon!

Now where to put it? Its the size of a computer case. Weighs about the same, and has small gaps around the edges where the clear covers are, so any water splashing from the sump or any spills that I do about 1-2x a week could result in salt creep getting in. So It has to be close enough to the tank to meet the water feed requirements, yet not so close to get water on it. Hmmm... time to organize my chaos and get a new shelf built!

What are you going to test for and what reagents are you planning to use? How many vials does it come with?

12 vials

It can run different liquid based tests. Based on what’s available to me for tests and currently programmed as a match with the reefbot, counting the reagent solutions I currently plan to run: red sea Magnesium (3 vials), tropic Marin phosphate(3), and ATO nitrate (2) with calcium tests avail to swap out in the additional test vials. I already test and dose Alk via a separate system. This ones intent is to do weekly testing for me, and hopefully give me an early warning if something is off.

I did notice that the motherboard for this is the raspberry pi.

What is the inner diameter of the outlet tubing? Is the waste pump-driven or gravity-driven?

I do not know if people realise this but they are a sponsor here and have their own forum.

I also believe Coralvue will be the distributor in the U.S. for them...

This looks to be the best one out there but man it is not cheap..

Not sure how to measure this. Tube looks like standard air pump size airline hose. No markings on the lines.

I’ll look to see if I can get a better answer on how the waste water gets out. Still need to set it up.

Good point. Honestly I was searching on it a while back and found this thread which just stuck. Since there are a lot of questions about this, maybe this thread can get moved to their forum to make it easier for the company to chime in as needed. It still deals with water chemistry so either way is relevant.

Just got mine like 5 minutes ago! I'm excited but watching the toddler no time to play with it or set it up (don't even have test kits yet) shipping was extremely fast!! Less than a week from order to receive!

Need to check it out hopefully I can put the outlet line further than 2m like they have set. Well see if not I'll just have to set up a separate rodi tank for this

I’m thinking about which test to get and use .. we could just buy the Red Sea refill kits I’m guessing since they are half the price . Also someone brought up a ReefBot forum . Is there one ? I looked but don’t see .

I think they meant the ReefKinetics Sponsor Forum, but this thread has more info/activity.
