After a couple of days of gooling, I figured I'd finally ask here.

I've had ReefPi DIY, then Robotank v1.1 and 1.2 running for years. Some time ago I noticed I wasn't getting a PH reading via homeassistant as I used to, but tank was fine and life went on. Now that I finally have time to look into this, I loaded into reef pi directly and noticed that I was getting this error while on the PH page or as well as dashboard when pH was supposed to update.

Screenshot attached below.

Nothing has changed with the setup software or hardware-wiae since 6.0 was released and installed. Hardware is a Robo-tank v1 on a Pi 3 A. I tried deleting the pH sensor and created a new one, error continued. Rebooted, still the same.

My only thought at this point is that SD card may be ready to exit the chat. Anyone have any ideas before I nuke the whole setup and start fresh?

Problem is possibly with Home Assistant and the HACS integration go into Reef-pi integration and turn off pH sensor.

Unfortunately that was the first thing I did. Then even disabled the HA integration, no change.

I plan on doing a fresh install of ReefPi when I do my annual maintenance and upgrade to a pi4 with an SSD. I'm inclined to think it's the SD card taking a dump. If it doesn't work after a fresh install I will re-evaluate.

Used the older version of raspberry pi no bookworm pi 4 will allow you to use a thumb drive

Have you gotten anywhere with this? If the v1 controller you have is from the early days it's possible there was a low voltage incident that corrupted the code on the pH circuit. NaN in the error code means "Not a number" which could indicate that. When I first released the pH circuit I was unaware that the circuits code could corrupt with low voltage, I've since solved this so it can't happen. If you are still having issues I can send you an external circuit which should get you going again. Let me know.

Interesting. With the bad weather we did have a couple of outages. The controller runs off of a meanwell psu. I have another robotank controller (also a V1 just a different revision), I may take it out of storage and how that goes.

For now just have been manually testing for now and again.

That could have done it. If the voltage drops below 2.3v it can happen and it doesn't take long. Now if it detects voltage below 2.3v the ATtiny85 shuts off protecting itself. Let me know how it goes and if you need a circuit.
