I noticed his Finn the other day and now it's just getting worse. I don't know what it could be. I have a closed system so no disease should have gotten in. Here is a video. Thank you

I got all of my fish fully quarantined. He is the only one that I've noticed having an issue like this. I assume getting them like that they would be good and haven't had any issues up until now. The only other fish he's been having issues with but I haven't seen him fighting he just seems to push him or try to push him out of his area going sideways. That fish is a longhorn cowfish. If you didn’t fully quarantine these fish, I would say 100% this is Neobenedenia flukes. This species is prone to that, and the tattered fins, cloudy eyes and general “worn” look to the fish all point to that.
The only other diagnosis would be that the angel is getting trounced by a tankmate; what other fish are in with it?

I have had this one from the start so it probably been four or five months. Would those eggs possibly look like white spots on fins?. It is a fish only thing so no corals. I had received a fish order from the same vendor. It had a flame angel a lemon peel and some black ice clownfish with the longhorn Cowfish if I remember correctly. I don't know what CUC is but I have only added fish.“Fully quarantined” means different things to different vendors. The problem with Neobenedenia flukes is if even a single egg gets moved along with the fish, (the eggs are sticky and cannot be killed by anything that wouldn’t also kill the fish) then the infection starts right back up. It does take 4 to 8 weeks for Neobenedenia to get out of hand, how long have you had the angel? Also have you added any new corals or CUC? Eggs travel on those as well.

Im sure someone has already mentioned this - but - the fins tell a tail (no pun intended) - of disease of flukes. I personally would not completely trust the QT from another shopI got all of my fish fully quarantined. He is the only one that I've noticed having an issue like this. I believe (@Jay Hemdal) - the 85% is when you are dosing prazipro into a display? If in an QT tank - with PVC, etc - I would use 100% of the doseThe eyes offer a clue on flukes and agree , the fins are bitten up suggesting aggression from another tank mate. If not sure who the culprit is, Set your cell phone on video mode the next time you feed for about 20 minutes and walk away - YOU MUST WALK AWAY as they know youre there. Review video and see who it may be as the aggressor is often a bully at feeding time.
For flukes, best is in a separate tank using Prazipro and dose at 85% of recommended amount and apply initial dosage known as an interval lasting 8 days, do a water change and do one more 8 day dose interval
Use airstone with prazi as it does reduce both oxygen and appetite. If running a skimmer, leave cup off first 24 hrs as skimmer will go nuts from the glycol solution in Prazi
Could I add this to the whole aquarium? I only have one shrimp and two anemones everything else is fish. Also if you snails and couple of crabs for cleanup. The eyes offer a clue on flukes and agree , the fins are bitten up suggesting aggression from another tank mate. If I could do it to the whole display like I just asked him would make things a lot easier. Also I think separating the Regal and Cowfish just to be on the safe sideI believe (@Jay Hemdal) - the 85% is when you are dosing prazipro into a display? Best in separate tank but my concern is response from anemone with the gycol in PraziCould I add this to the whole aquarium? I only have one shrimp and two anemones everything else is fish. Also if you snails and couple of crabs for cleanup.
Yes - you can - I have to say I haven't memorized all of the possible issues with Prazipro in the display - generally its safe - and then you would want to dose at 85% - due to rock, etcIf I could do it to the whole display like I just asked him would make things a lot easier. 85% is for consideration of absolute volume with rock, etc to prevent overdose.I believe (@Jay Hemdal) - the 85% is when you are dosing prazipro into a display? If in an QT tank - with PVC, etc - I would use 100% of the dose
Assume they are both exposed to possibility of Flukes although cowfish is touchy with most meds and in general. If I could do it to the whole display like I just asked him would make things a lot easier. Also I think separating the Regal and Cowfish just to be on the safe side
It's probably better safe than sorry. I have a part of my sump that is disconnected from the rest of it I could use right off hand.Best in separate tank but my concern is response from anemone with the gycol in Prazi
It would be easier but like they said with some of the other stuff it might be nasty or hard on them. Hard to say.Yes - you can - I have to say I haven't memorized all of the possible issues with Prazipro in the display - generally its safe - and then you would want to dose at 85% - due to rock, etc
That's kind of why I was hoping to dose the whole Aquarium for that just in caseAssume they are both exposed to possibility of Flukes although cowfish is touchy with most meds and in general.
Right thats what I said. So agree85% is for consideration of absolute volume with rock, etc to prevent overdose.
I think you can go with the 85 percent rule in a display - 100% in a QTIt would be easier but like they said with some of the other stuff it might be nasty or hard on them. Hard to say.
