This is in no ways an endorsement of the product and this is really only a short term test. Also not looking for fights so let’s be nice people.

Been using nopox for past 2 months
Little about my tank
Take is 265 gallons with 2 80 frags
125 sump
And 57 remote refugium with 9 inches of sand
Have a lot of fish in the tank and live to feed

Neglected my tank about 18 months ago (dang New born). All my sps died and most of my nicer lps

Well 5 months ago tired lowering phosphates and nitrates though Gfo and wAter changes.

Couldn’t really keep Phosphates stable and nitrates didn’t do much

So after much reading decide to use nopox

I started 2 months ago and add 40ml once a day in morning
First disclaimer it’s hard to read Red Sea so I’ll give a bigger range
Nitrates read 32-64 color wasn’t quite 64 but wasn’t 32

Then after 3 weeks
16-32
Today they are 8-12

Phosphates
Went from .19 to .05 and .00 respectively

I do use a little Gfo mixed with carbon and change once a month

Just purchased 3 acro so wish me luck

Ps those crazy Zoas seem to still grow no matter what

It worked well for me, but not any better than plain vinegar. It also caused a bacterial bloom but that was probably partly my fault for being a little too aggressive with my dosing.

Please explain.

What size tank.
How much nopox you dosed
Vrs home much vinegar

Also what do you mean bacteria bloom

Your talking red slime or bacteria in the water

Ps isn’t that why we are dosing nopox for bacteria to grow

A bacterial bloom is just an unsightly way that bacteria may grow. It may or may not imply using too much.

Vinegar (acetic acid) and vodka (ethanol) are the main components in NOPOX.

NOPOX certainly can work well, as can diy mixtures of vodka and vinegar, or either one alone.

I know vodka and vinegar work. Just affaid to try it on my tank. Nopox is more expensive but I feel the lay out a nice dosing plan.

Nice come back! Good luck.

Don’t call it a come back, be back for years
:)

Yes I hope so. Little upset with myself for letting my tank go and killing thousands of dollars of corals but selling off some of my easier stuff to replenish the more expensive should help a little
