Wait because how do I figure out how large the hose is? On WB it says Φ9…idk what that symbol means…

This was all I could get in terms of hose measurements.

Φ9 basically means 9mm

That hose looks like it has a 1/4in ID, which would have about 9mm OD.

that is smaller than what we have usually seen on these tanks.

Can you measure the hole size on the back glass? The proper stock nozzle and elbow require about a 0.6in hole.

if that hole is big enough for that size pipe, then maybe you could simply get Waterbox to send you the proper pluming part for the tank you where sold.

Try to take it like this... tape measure edge aligned to center of hose, with a inch mark aligned to to outer top edge of hose.

So this hose has a 7/16" o.d, and 5/16 id.
Edit. 9/16", not 7/16".

I went on the website to see if that nozzle would fit and it says no. :(

I think you should just drill the hole bigger and replace the pump you intended on replacing anyways, or contact them and get the product you ordered. Drilling that hole isn't a big deal. But, you should get what you ordered. Up to you

Waterbox has it listed under freshwater and this is the only 15 peninsula they currently sell. Did they discontinue the 15 saltwater?

You're right, I mis spoke... and for clarity; that is a random hose in my garage, not the correct size for that tank. As you said, demonstrating how to measure it:-)

they must have updated the 15-gallon model - It used use the (larger) one in the photo i posted.

But - the on you have may be adaptable. That stock hose would likely fit inside a larger hose , like a10mm ID silicone hose.

then you can cut a small section of the stock hose and use it like an adapter to the larger hose. connect the larger hose to a larger stock pump.

you'll get a bit of restations from the elbow, but it wont be as mush as if the entire length of that hose was that smaller one.

Drilling the hole out to make it larger may be difficult, since ethe back wall is made of glass. At least the previous versions of this tank where.

Is it possible I just…use it as is? I’m not planning on doing anything high tech, just softies and macros. I 100% am definitely gonna get a wave maker tho.

It would look wonky, but an over the glass hang on type plastic return could make adding a larger pump work around fairly easy. Put a cork in the hole.

But let's hope you can get a return to get what you really want.

I'm busy walking on water, but I think these are available in standard inch tubing sizes sizes I didn't really examine the specs.

I was looking at the pump that was supplied, and I have used something similar (it may have actually been smaller) and they ran perfectly for a few trials until they stopped after about a month of use. I would plan on replacing the pump, if it was mine.

Oh, and for folks who may still think I am, THe LOrd, I hope He hasn't struck me dead for the evil impersonation.
