I DO
No problems with it.
With a DC pump it's better to oversize a bit so it does not have to run full speed.

Failing Return Pump wouldn’t cause the Water Level in the tank to be higher. It would be lower. I’d look for clogged Weir Teeth, or clogged overflow plumbing. The only failure I can think of, is if it’s DC Pump with a speed controller, and it’s overrunning its set speed. I have Five Simplicity DC Pumps, that I’m really happy about. Low energy usage, they stay clean, and I only clean them every six months. They have a Ten minute feed cycle that automatically turns back on with a slow ramp back up to the speed I had set them at.

I think it was over runing it's set speed as today I have totaly reset the pump speed and valve.
It took awhile to get it just right but after 5 hours its been stable.

Okay scratch that it's not stable, after sitting watching the pump speeds up slightly just enough to cause the ato to kick on every 10 min or so.
I have a hydros wave engine that is from my old tank and was thinking of spending more and getting a Reef Octopus VarioS 4.
