Hey guys wanted to share my newest purchase. A smart power strip!

I was getting tired of having to manual unplug things like my skimmer and my heater and my power heads when doing maintenance to the tank. Always wanted the Neptune system to be able to remotely turn things off with that app but could in no way afford it.

The revogi smart power strip has built in wifi, and I can set timers and on and off each individual plug with an app. And it was only $70! I can also monitor power consumption, and how much it costs to power the fish tank. I really needed timers on my lights and this got rid of having to have 4 mechanical timers and extra power strips to
Plug them in.

Revogi also makes light bulbs and light strips that can be controlled by smart phone app, timers and so on and even select what color you want the light to be all with you smart phone.

Wow that looks awesome and is a great alternative for a controller if you don't care about PH and temp monitoring.

Hmm. 7 Controller outlets for $70, ten bucks an outlet. Apex EB8 is $160, twenty bucks an outlet.

Definitely a great option for someone that wants a lot of stuff on timers and to adjust, but it is not "reponsive" in the sense of will shut iff the heater if there is an issue or send you an alert if there is a problem.

My main reason but buying is that my Mars aqua led's do not have built in timers. Now I can have a light schedule (really wish I had purchased the ones that can ramp up and down) and also I can pop open my phone and turn other pumps off at a touch of a button before water changes and feedings.

Smart. Before I had my apex I used a Belkin WeMo outlet; controls a single item and also gives you the amount of power it uses daily.

I may have mis read but the apex power strip still needs the apex controller to use its features.

Would be awesome to afford even the basic apex system but right now I just can't do it. And if and when I do, this other smart strip can be used for my tv and stereo or for the kids bearded dragon's tank.

You are totally correct regarding the apex.

The Revogi seems to be an excellent option to have App-Controlled outlets at a reasonable price! I may purchase one for my other aquarium as it uses mechanical timers that constantly need to be adjusted.

Exactly, on my tank I have two LED lights. Each have two cords. I wanted my blues to come on first so there's two timers, and another two timers for my whites.. It was causing a head ache and too many cords and adapters trying to plug every thing into one outlet where the tank is set up.

I just set got my power strip last night and played with the app. So far I'm excited, going to get it hooked up tonight. Excited to not have to worry about turning my lights on and off any more. I'm sure my coral will be happier to have a constant schedule.

I use the CoraLife day/night power strips for my lights and night-time stuff. I have the same black box LED lights (just different name), and it works great for turning them on and of. I have 2 timers for 2 lights - one controls the blue channel, the other the full spec. But I've been trying to figure out if I can use Wink-compatible dimmer modules to ramp them up and down. Does the Revogi strip allow for dimming or is it just straight on/off?

Not sure about IFTTT and no just on and off. Ramp up and ramp down would be awesome.

I've looked over some threads people have taken apart their led box and hard wired in a controller to be able to ramp up and down and light time.

My Comcast router sends out two wifi signals. It connected fine for me.

It has wifi built in and you can connect to your phone when near it and still use the app but won't be able to outside of your home.
