Rick's Ulitmate Build

I am def guilty of hoarding, the ice cap 660s are 15 years old and havent been used until I tried overdriving t5s, but before that probably 12 years sitting in the garage. I also found about a dozen old 400w bulbs, no idea why I am saving those lol. I threw away a lot of stuff I now wished I had kept, which reinforces my hoarding even more. More pictures coming

You know a lot of the equipment I bought was used, like the Tunzes it reall suprised me when I got them and they were in the original boxes with the original packing. One thing I never kept was the boxes. I bought 2 MP40s last year and put all the extra parts in one box and tossed the other. Later I needed it for the upgraded drivers

The Best Laid Plans of Mice and Men

Thanks for looking and all the comments.

Picked up the tank yesterday. Had a few changes and mistakes which delayed placing the tank on the stand. So first I had to contact everyone I had coming to help move it and cancel. It is sitting in my garage precariously balanced on an undersized cart I have for moving it.
First the tank was supposed to have a plywood bottom incorperated into the acrylic. This was not the case. No big deal other than the fact that I had to epoxy a sheet of plywood and cut holes for the plumbing. All of that is done now and drying.
Second, I was supposed to have 3 1 1/2" holes for overflows on the left, these were on the right. On the right was supposed to be 2 1" holes one for return and the other a spare. Instead I have 2 2" holes again on the wrong side. None were drilled for sch 80 as I requested several times.
Now Wayde who I was dealing with is out of the country so some where the details got messed up. I told them if they would supply all the bulkheads and reducers I would take it as it was. They did and also supplied a sheet of plywood, although I used a thicker one that wasn't that glue board stuff.
Now I have to decide what to do with it. Originally the overflows would have dropped straight down into the sump. The plumbing would have been short and sweet and neat. The sump could be moved to the other side but thats where I installed the electrical outlets and I really dont want to have to reach by the skimmer to deal with them. I could use the 2 2" and reduce them for the overflow and bring the 3rd across, which is probably what I will do.

Sigh.....:squigglemouth:

1/8" difference in water level from one side to another, should I do anything about it?

1/8"is not bad Rick... If the tank looks flat all the way around the stand I wouldn't worry to much... It will exert a little more pressure on the seams of the lower side but not a huge deal... Being built by ATM it should be able to handle waves etc, they put alot more pressure on seams than that will.... *jeleous* I miss my big tank all ready but not the power bills....:(
