Well there are others out there in the same league but these are the latest. Are they the greatest, who knows but they are very good lights with all the current bells and whistles. If I was in the market now and had the cash I'd get them. But to get the full use out of them you'll want to also get the Reeflink or a WXM module to connect to an Apex.

They are the latest. The biggest change is the light spread, it reduces hot spots and gives you better spread.

are there better out there?I just want to make sure i has the best for my tank

Can you define what you think of as "best" and "better"? If you can, we can help you decide. But there is no official "best" for another light to be "better" than....we can't help you there. ;)

The best I could do is tell you some things I think are better and give you a list of reasons why – but I'm not sure that would help you.

If you haven't considered other options than what you linked, you should.

If you don't really know what you like yet, take plenty of time to look at tanks – or at least pictures and videos of tanks – lit the way you want to do your lighting. And look at tanks lit differently from that. Decide what you like based on your experiences.

I would encourage you to look at popular as well as less-popular options....popular ≠ better.

I've been researching lights for about 5 mo. what i like about these lights s the programing, control by phone, and the range i will have in lighting to keep about anything i would like. i was looking for info of others that have these lights, i did get some info on another sight so I decide that i was just going to go for it, I also found out that they can be returned with in 60 days if not satisfied.
