Hi!

So I've been long time willing to have an option to rise my lights higher, so I can access the tank easier. This was long time ago, like 10 years ago.
Recently coming back to the hobby with a new house with garage... and I have a bike ceiling mount system... which is very simple and can be adjusted so at the lowest point fixtures will guaranteed not go into the water... they usualy rated for 30+kg and cost like 30$ on amazon... and if you really worried - keep your steel wires and just attach ropes ones you need to rise it... also could be automated by using a winch or a motor of some sort.

I hope it might help someone

I used an electric sit to stand desk that I attached my light rail to. So I just push a button and they can go up and out of my way. I wouldn't do another reef tank without this.

Yes this setup was on my list, but complexity and price is way higher comparing to 30$ ceiling solution like this one.
