Found this on beach of south Florida is there any way to clean this to put in tank?![]()
That’s actually not true. To kill for example encysted tomonts, it takes up to 24hrs. ;)Bleach will sterilize nearly instantly no need to dilute so much and for 24 hrs lol
Don’t try. They guy is always rightThat’s actually not true. To kill for example encysted tomonts, it takes up to 24hrs. ;)
I have put lots of shells into my tank and all I do is put them in cold tap water in a saucepan, bring them to the boil and simmer for 10 mins or so. Cool, rinse, dry and pop in. I am by no means an expert but most bacteria and other organisms can’t survive > 65C for any length of time so this seems sufficient.
Nope your 100% wrong. Maybe when diluted to drinking water, sure...That’s actually not true. To kill for example encysted tomonts, it takes up to 24hrs. ;)
It is, as I get pieces from Jensen beach and stuart frequently.Looks like a piece of rock from east coast side of Florida. Have lived in Florida all my life and lived on both coast for extended periods of time. That rock also looks like it cement based good luck lol
