Rocky Mountain fish filters

Saw this company while watching one of the many reefing videos I watch daily along with God knows how many reefing podcast just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this brand or any similar type of plastic ring filters instead of filter socks

From what little I read (which is very little) they are restrictive on the amount of flow they can handle.
