This is the “end” of a water line in my basement, it connects to the hose spigot. This is the ideal place to install my rodi unit since the waste line will be draining into a sump pump and the tank is right below this picture. Can I unscrew the hose connection and put a Y here and connect the rodi? Can I even hook a Y connector to copper pipes? The unit has a pressure gauge on it but How do I know if it has sufficient water pressure before I hook up it up there?

I put a y connector on my washing machine line, which is copper. I don’t know about the pressure so hopefully someone else will chime in.
