RODI Pressure too high??

So, I recently just restarted my tank after being dry for 8-9 years now. I have a 4 stage BRS RODI, I did a full swap on everything (Carbon, Micron Filter, RO Membrane and DI Resin) and my water pressure wasn't enough (running about 30psi from the tap). I picked up a Smart Buddie RO/DI Booster pump and that got my pressure up to 80-90psi (needle bounces over a 10-15psi range). Over the last month though I've noticed it going upwards, the needle bounces kinda wildly from 90 to pegged at 100psi. I haven't found any leaks, and it is making water with no problems. Should I be worried?

What is the bursting pressure of the unit?

In industrial applications the operating pressure rating is normally half of the bursting pressure. Also, in normal engineering designs the rated bursting pressure is normally 1 half of actual burst pressure. So, at a minimum there is a 4 to 1 safety factor in the design. My water well pump maintains 60psi.

I suggest you get a small pulsation dampener for your booster pump. Those pulsations may well damage the accuracy of the pressure gauge.

Is your municipal supply 30psi? I assume you have your own water well. If so, if it has a pressure switch and good design should have a pulsation dampner to protect pressure switch.

No I'm on a water district. When I initially set it up with the faucet full on it was about 30psi. I'll look into the pulsation dampener, thanks for the heads up!
 
Pulsation dampener (small pressure tank) is not needed here.

If your pump is before your system, then yes, your pressure is too high as your clear filter housings likely have a max pressure rating of 80 psi.

If your pump is between the prefilters and the membrane (the recommended location), your pressure is ok.

One of the things we don't like about the pump you bought is that it takes a number of common system components and makes them inaccessible by putting them in a needless enclosure. If your pump was accessible, and if you'd bought an Aquatec booster pump, you could adjust the pressure if/when needed.

There is a fitting on the top of the booster pump. Use an Allen wrench and turn it counterclockwise to reduce the pressure
