Funny story. (Not at the time though). Bought a new kitchen faucet at the local Home Depot and installed it. Turn the faucet on, nothing. No water. I spent the next three hours checking and double checking the plumbing and still nothing. Finally, I took the faucet off and blew into it to see if it was clogged. Sure enough, the brand new faucet was totally clogged. Moral of the story? Never assume anything you buy new is good.

AS a test, couldn't you remove one filter from catridge at a time to see if the water flow increases.
This would tell you if a filter, or even a membrane is faulty.
