Saw a post from 2014 - curious what people use now and for how long. Preferably people that tried both (obviously all is welcome though) which do you prefer? Thanks!

Use both and hikari and San Francisco. Have no preference over the 2.

Mine prefer anything over Rods for some reason. They like LRS, but love the homemade food I make. Its cheaper and you get to choose what you add.

Ive used both and prefer LRS. LRS is much more "concentrated" as in more bits of food when breaking off the same sized chunk. Rods was mostly the orange/red liquid. Not saying that soup is not nutritious but I feed it mainly for the fish and im sure they prefer the chunks.

I have both. LRS seem to have just a little more of everthing (algaes, meats, aminos, etc)
I also really like Rods but getting harder to find, Im seeing less of it, very little to no advertising or promos ????

That’s cause it’s supposta be kept frozen not in the fridge

I don’t even bother to thaw it in water. I break pieces off in the package, in the plastic still so my hands don’t stink as much, and then toss it in the water

I don’t know how so many people have the patience for complicated feeding rituals for their tanks.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
