Hi, I wanted opinions on using Ruby Reef rally pro in a tank with live rock and inverts. Has anyone used it with an urchin and/or pithos crab.

VERY SAFE TO USE.

It’s fine with those invertebrates. I sometimes hear issues with corals, but I suspect those people were already having some issues, and their corals were stressed.

That said, the only disease I recommend this for is treating Brooklynella in clownfish, and then only because the better drug, formalin, isn’t safe to use in homes.

It’s very safe, but only effective against Brooklynella.

Thanks for the help. I think I am dealing with brook.

So I’ve used the rally pro for 5 consecutive days in the tank. It’s not really helping for what I thought was brook. Should I do a concentrated bath instead. If if it didn’t help in the tank, possibly not brook I’m dealing with?

The higher daily dip, in conjunction with the lower dose in-tank treatment works best. Still, this might not be Brook. Can you post a clear video of the affected fish? I'll be offline after around 4:30 EST today, but the other fish medics can view it and weigh in on what they think.

If you zoom in the affected area are noticeable. Slime on bottom of gill covers, edge of fins, and base of dorsal fins on the body, and eye slime is new last several days.

It’s really tough to see through the algae on the glass - but the fish isn’t swimming like ones with brooklynella do.

What is your thought? I also thought there would be labored breathing with brook?

Later on in the infection, yes, but early on you just see mucus on the skin, followed by a sort of stiff swimming motion….
