Hi, I wanted opinions on using Ruby Reef rally pro in a tank with live rock and inverts. Has anyone used it with an urchin and/or pithos crab.
So I’ve used the rally pro for 5 consecutive days in the tank. It’s not really helping for what I thought was brook. Should I do a concentrated bath instead. If if it didn’t help in the tank, possibly not brook I’m dealing with?
If you zoom in the affected area are noticeable. Slime on bottom of gill covers, edge of fins, and base of dorsal fins on the body, and eye slime is new last several days.
What is your thought? I also thought there would be labored breathing with brook?
So you’re thinking it’s not brook? This has been going on for a month or so.
Had the fish about 12 years. It’s shown this type of stuff before, but not as severe. Has normally gotten better within a week to a week in a half. It’s been a couple years since the last time it happened. The eyes may be slightly bulging, but kinda hard to tell with the mucus film on them. Water quality is good. Any specific measurements you are referring to? Even this last time it was decently bad for a week or 2, got about 75% better, then just started getting worse. The first 3 days on rally pro was starting to look better, then the following 4 days got a bit worse. Not sure what could be an irritant? Though when I do a good water the fish almost always looks better for about a week.
