Tank Thread/Build badge - start a build thread and put the link somewhere in your profile and it should show up (I think the actual instructions are in the feedback forum).

Hospitality - excessive participation in the introduction threads welcoming newcomers

Excellence - honestly not sure

Article contributor - I think you need to get a published article on this site

Partner member - participate in the partner drive

Light up reef2reef badge - buy a reef2reef light

My Midwest reefer - join the Midwest reefer club

And well I have no idea what some are

The Badge Name Game is ruining the hobby! Badges used to be double the size for half the cost 20 years ago! Now you have to zoom in to even see them.

Don’t even get started on the fake colors they’re using either. No badge looks like that in the wild

Nope -- the Great Rev has only 16, Vetguy has him by 3 car length! lol

Too much work -- can we trade badges instead? Here are my struggles:
Hospitality: well, I suck -- I hate talking to people hence I got into fish & corals

Article Contributor: my English is worse than a 5th Grader
Partner: I'm a bad salesman

This might answer a question I've had. I only jump in and add to a welcome/introduction thread when I have a personal connection with the OP like living in the same area because, well, let's face it, I'm a newb and can't add much.

However, whenever I do post on a welcome thread, everyone and their brother likes my post. I've been trying to figure out that odd little bit of forum culture for months

I just participate as much as I can. I also support R2R financially by getting the partner membership and such. But the dark blue ones are mostly just from joining user groups. But they don’t make anyone more or less important. There are green “expert” badges too for experts in the industry.
