Well that's just a horrible first experience. I hope things greatly improve in the future. Oh and make sure to close the valve after you use it or throw a cover on to keep he little ones from turning a knob and draining your tank:) Been there, done that ;Facepalm with the dogs anyway lol
Good tip, appreciate it. I do have a 2 year old we've nicknamed "the tornado" lol

Lol! With that nickname might wanna bolt the grill down while you're at it!
We basically have to turn our whole house into a padded room lol

Is that really because of the little one? ;):p

Either way, a padded room sounds kindof fun:D
I can neither confirm or deny

Double insulated lid, works just fine in sub zero temps.
[...]

   I really, really hope that I never have the opportunity to test my grill in sub zero temps.

There is a reason I live in Florida - I'm allergic to cold!:)

+1 on the ceramic grills, Kamodo, etc.. meat is definitely tender, juicy but I got tired of smelling like I've been in a fire, I was using the green egg wood...gave it to son, also gave same son a stainless steel with rotisserie before that. As time passes...recently purchased a Flame brand professional grill, liking this one much better...back to propane.

Sorry for your loss. I recently retired my charcoal grille as well. Switched over to propane. Not sure if I like it or not..

The answer is “NO”.

Youre welcome.

Family gifted us a $150 propane grill when we moved. I used it once, then removed the grates and put a couple big steel pans in there and converted it to charcoal. Waaaaayy better.

Been using my GMG pellet grill for the past couple years but just recently got the charbroil version of the green egg. So far I like it. Didn't want to drop the coin on a Kamado Joe until I got a feel for the egg style grill.
I do not get it..maybe you had it backward.
The big green egg is like 2-3 times the price of Kamado...;)

That is a sad day. I have a new favorite grill, a pit boss pro series pellet grill that replaced a charcoal/wood burner. My poor Weber propane sits next to that and is getting a terminal case of depression I'm afraid from lack of use. Like girl shopping, grill shopping is fun for me.

Kamado Joe runs about 1200-2500 plus from my research it seems a better build quality and many more standard accessories included
Yes I know of it its being sold in home depot. I believe it came out after the BGE and positive much cheaper;)
BGE will start 1200 end at 4000 if you compare same features.
Either way ceramics is the way to go ha ha

Gotcha. Costco had a nice deal on the Joe awhile back but missed out on it. My $300 Akorn is working out nicely so far lol
